Diabetes care
How Swasi supports diabetes care
Our approach has five parts. They run in order, and each one informs the next.

Five parts of your care plan
Each stage builds on the assessment and is explained by your physician before moving forward.
- 01
Assessment
A physician takes your history, reviews your medication and recent reports, examines you, and assesses your constitution. The first consultation is longer than a routine visit, deliberately.
- 02
Diet and daily routine
We build a plan around what you already eat and when you can eat it. Rice is not banned. Timing, combination and quantity usually matter more than elimination.
- 03
Classical formulations
Where suitable, formulations are prescribed with a stated dose and duration, and reviewed at every visit. Alongside your existing medication, not in place of it.
- 04
Supervised therapies
Therapies are selected by the physician from our catalogue of eighty-nine procedures. Some patients need none. Where prescribed, sequence and duration are set out before the first session.
- 05
Review
You return at agreed intervals. The plan is revised against how you have responded and what your reports show. If something is not working, we say so and change it.
Before your visit
What to bring
Bring what you have available. Your physician can discuss any missing information with you during the consultation.
- 1Your current prescription, or the medicine strips themselves.
- 2Blood sugar and HbA1c reports from the last six months, if you have them.
- 3Any other recent reports: kidney, lipid and eye.
- 4A rough note of what you eat on an ordinary day.
